Leather Donaldson-Nevarez earned her Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Phoenix in 2009. She went on to earn her Master of Social Work from California State University East Bay in 2013. She became a board certified Licensed Clinical Social Worker on January 29, 2020. In March of 2014 while working towards her MSW Leather began working as an ASW Intern for Lettie Ordone at Counseling and More in the City of Tracy, California where she remains to this day.

Leather conducts therapeutic sessions with her clients using a holistic approach. Her goal is to develop new life skills as partners with her clients to accomplish goals they have established at the onset of counseling. Leather has successfully experienced helping her clients to feel less depressed and/or anxious. She has helped them build positive parenting skills through the development of resources. She aids her clients to get through life’s difficult changes, while improving relationships with their friends and/or partners and creating a less stressful environment for themselves.

As a trained and experienced therapist Leather knows a lot about how to slow down your hectic life, explore your dreams and thoughts through mindfulness practices, trauma informed interventions, play therapy and develop new ways of coping creatively. She is also an EMDRIA approved EMDR therapist.
